Babbo

Stick to the pastas here which are very creative and delicioso! We ordered meat too but we were much more impressed with the pasta. My favorite was the Mint Love Letters.

Not for everyone, but I liked it!

You have to appreciate Japanese-style concoctions to like this place.  I tried the chocolate souffle cake, apricot gelees, and tofu cheesecake and liked them all.  The tofu cheesecake is not for everyone, but you have to be in a state-of-mind to try a healthier, less sweet, alternative to the traditional cheesecake.  It also helps to love tofu (which I do).  They also have a great selection of sakes on hand including a nice variety of sparkling kinds if you're in the mood.  The decor is modern loungy & a great place for after-dinner and to meet up with a small group.  Although one time I was there, the whole space was closed for a private party which I thought might be nice.  I like the vouyeuristic kitchen in the front of the place where you can watch the pastry chefs at work.
